The sailfish is part of the marlin family and not the swordfish and should be called sailfish. The sailfish marlin weighs from 10 kg to 30 kg and can measure up to 2.5 m in length. Of the big game fish, it is certainly the most majestic. It is characterized by an extremely developed dorsal, thus forming a sort of sail.

It feeds on squid, small tuna and small sea bream.

Like the marlin, it is fished from November to April by heavy trolling or with live or dead bonito.

In combat, it frequently leaps out of the water with its back extended and shaking its head to shake off the lure.

He is a fighter who is especially beautiful to see on board the boat.
